High-tech bathroom fixtures are becoming more popular and accessible.
Over the course of the last year, we’ve seen a lot of new high-tech products become available for the more average consumer. Here are some of the more popular digitally-enhanced fixtures that we see in the market:
- Delta Faucets Touch2O Technology allows people to turn on their faucets without mucking up handles with their dirty hands. Touch the faucet anywhere, with your hands, forearms, or forehead and the water comes on.
- Kohler also has new digital products on the market, including their DTV Prompt digital showering system. The DTV Prompt allows you to preset temperatures, shut off times, or even put your shower on “pause” for a couple of minutes.
- Moen has a similar type of shower system: ioDigital, which comes in three different fixture options: the Vertical Spa, a standard Shower, and Roman Tub. Remote controls allow you to choose your settings and start filling the tub or warming the shower from afar.
There are also of course some more extravagant digital bathroom fixtures such as Kohler’s Numi toilet. The Numi is a one-of-a-kind product with a completely unique design from your average everyday toilet. But it also comes with a slew of digital integration including motion sensor activated lids and seats, built-in speakers, feet warming, and the ability to plug in your mp3 player.
