“As promised, here are a few of the photos I took of the bathroom. It turned out beautifully, and makes me smile every time I step into it. You sure honed in on what we wanted very quickly and selected the perfect tiles to bring with you to our initial meeting. Suggesting the dark grey paint on the soffit really gave it that designer’s touch. If I haven’t told you, it was such a pleasure working with you!!!”

Beverly and Harold Adkins came to One Week Bath for a full bathroom remodel with a clear vision of what they wanted their master bathroom to look like. The task for Bathroom Design Specialist Sarah Keane was creating the luxurious look they were after at a reasonable price point. “It was a very collaborative process,” says Sarah. “We worked closely together to figure out which elements to splurge on and when to use alternate selections that matched their desires while keeping the costs in line.”

The couple set up a card table in their bedroom just outside the master bathroom, and Beverly spent an afternoon with Sarah going over all of their options and ideas. Beverly had a large scale Restoration Hardware mirror that she wanted to feature in the design. She also liked the idea of a neutral palette of white and grey.

“Using the grey subway tile gave the room depth and a sense of luxury,” says Sarah. “We added a decorative liner of Carerra hexagon marble around the tub and framed it with a domed pencil liner to really make it pop.” Incorporating marble into a liner rather than a full bathtub surround created an elegant look without excessive expense.

Because of its size, hanging the mirror presented an engineering challenge, but the One Week Bath team prevailed. “We ended up reinventing the wheel to get that mirror up, but when you see the result, it makes it all worthwhile,” says Sarah.

She adds, “Beverly and Harold were fantastic to work with. Beverly kept trying to feed everybody. She made fresh muffins and fed us fresh strawberries. The whole experience was phenomenal.”
